Revenue Cycle Specialist

FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

Starting Rate: $18.75 per hour


SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is part of the Revenue Cycle team and will be responsible for any/all aspects of the Revenue Cycle as it relates to client services. This position will work closely with insurance carriers, clients, site management teams, and the Billing team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Review & ensure accurate insurance eligibility, benefits, and financial information needed for billing and collection processes.

·  Follow up with clients as needed to review coverage, benefits, financial responsibility, and collect outstanding balances.

·  Enter data accurately and timely into Anasazi.

·  Work as a liaison between the programs, insurance carriers, and clients.

·  Partner with providers and sites as necessary for enrollment, client financials, or eligibility and authorization. 

·  Review, analysis, and follow up on reports provided by Director of Revenue.

·  Perform frequent and regular follow up on all processes and procedures.

·  Execute daily site intakes with insurance verification. 

·  Complete insurance authorizations. 

·  Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  High School Diploma with 2 years' medical office/billing experience required.

·  Associate's degree with 4 years' medical office/billing experience preferred.

·  Experience working with insurance carriers and their websites

·  Extensive knowledge of different types of insurance coverage and policies

·  Excellent communication & problem solving skills

·  Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

·  Detailed oriented and organized.

·  Proficient with basic computer systems, networks, and software applications, such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
