SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Director of Crisis Center and Clubhouse Programs will assist multiple members of the Senior Management Team in the oversite of Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center with a primary focus that includes, but is not limited to, 24/7 crisis stabilization and hospital diversions treatment service. The Director will provide support to the respective Program Directors and/or staff to ensure that the programs comply with 14 NTCRR Part 600 Crisis Stabilization Center guidance, Certified Community Behavioral Health guidelines, all State regulations, and Agency policies and procedures. The Director will ensure that the services provided by the Center are of high quality, innovative, accessible, culturally sensitive, and promote the reduction of health disparities. They will also represent BestSelf Behavioral Health in various community meetings and serve on related committees and coordination with the identified Catchment Area. The catchment area is the western region of New York State, comprised of five counties: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara. The Director will work to ensure that the identified outcomes for the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center are achieved. The successful candidate will monitor productivity and compliance levels, devise and implement quality improvement activities, and participate in utilization management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the oversight of the respective Program Directors, Assistant Program Director and team members of the Crisis Center. Supervisory responsibilities of these direct reports include consistent coaching, feedback, & development, review & approval of timecards, and completing performance reviews & development plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support and supervision to Program Directors and Assistant Program Directors.
- Represent BBH in the community and work closely with community partners.
- Monitor staff productivity to ensure that standards are met.
- Provide oversite in the integration of the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center into the larger Community.
- Ensure the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center is compliant with all State and Federal laws and regulations as well as Agency policies and procedures.
- Provide oversite in the integration of Club Services into the larger CCBHC clinics.
- Ensure that BestSelf offers effective services to individuals who are diagnosed with both a substance use and a mental health disorder.
- Ensure that staff needs for supervision and support are met.
- Oversee disciplinary actions and the completion of staff performance evaluations.
- Assume leadership in recruiting and retaining staff.
- Plan for and arrange staff training.
- Ensure that program services are accessible to eligible clients.
- Ensure that services meet or exceed industry professional standards.
- Completes all trainings required by the agency.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree and Qualified Health Professional (QHP) certification (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or CASAC) and two (2) years of relevant direct service experience.
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong supervisory and operational experience
- Possess a background in healthcare/mental health
- Must be able to relate effectively to diverse cultural and economic backgrounds and work effectively in implementing and including Racial Equity and Inclusion with both staff and clients.
- Must be skilled in clinical and administrative supervision, program management, and organizational and leadership development.
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with other BestSelf staff and community partners.
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to provide leadership and motivate staff to strive toward excellence.
- Must possess the ability to respond quickly in a crisis and solve problems effectively.
- Leadership skills grounded in organizational values of trauma informed care, racial equity and leadership development for all staff.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
