RESPONSIBILITIES: |

· Oversees all fire and safety drills and assures that all BestSelf Behavioral Health required emergency procedures are completed. · Must complete and maintain all documentation for administration and HUD. · Report any inside or outside maintenance issues to management. · Must complete weekly room checks and all annual HUD apartment inspections. · Will assist other staff in maintaining a stable and respectful environment. · Assists residents in learning community integration, provides exposure to supportive services and encourages participation in social, educational, vocational, psychiatric, and rehabilitative activities. · May assist in household management tasks such as preparation of meals or housekeeping tasks. · Oversees clients in learning household tasks. · Must provide transportation for clients, as needed. · Interact socially with residents in respectful manner. · Schedule and assigned duties are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the clients we serve. |

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: |

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Must be able to maintain BestSelf HIPPA confidentiality guidelines. · Must possess ability to complete required paperwork thoroughly and accurately. · Must be able to deal effectively with residents, staff, guests, and the general public. · Must be able to identify crisis situations and respond appropriately and in a timely manner. · Must be able to maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries. · Must possess the ability to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and maintain respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment. |

QUALIFICATIONS: |

· Associate Degree or equivalent in human service or criminal justice field and two years of full-time paid experience working with homeless individuals in a human service agency. · Fulltime, 35 hours per week with rotating schedule. Must be available to work all shifts AND · A valid NYS drivers' license. · Automobile in good working order. · Must have Accredited NYS Defensive driving course; or obtain within 15 days of hire. · Must maintain Active NYS Defensive Driving class every 3 years, upon expiration. · If driving one's own vehicle, must maintain valid inspection and automobile insurance. · Must provide proof of insurance upon hire and when requested.
