RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
|
|
|

|
|
- Conducts an assessment
of each resident.
- Assists client with
obtaining GED prior to completing Lighthouse through referral, linkage, and
follow-up
- Assists with linkage
to volunteering and/or education
- Assists with linkage
to independent/supportive housing upon program completion
- Assists with linkage
to services upon program completion to include health home linkage, eligible
benefits
- Consults with the
treatment team to ensure a holistic and integrated planning process.
- Conducts group
sessions on a variety of skill building topics.
- Teaches job-seeking
and job-retention skills.
- Manages Lighthouse
store.
- Assist client to
obtain wardrobe appropriate for vocational activity.
- Respond to client
concerns regarding impact of employment on benefit status.
- Maintains an updated
file of community resources.
- Participates in client
aftercare planning to ensure availability of needed supports.
- Arranges for guest
speakers in areas of interest to residents.
- Participates in
24-hour, on-call rotation.
- Provides coverage for
case manager
- Participates in house
management activities as assigned by supervisor.
- Schedule and assigned
duties are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the
clients we serve.

REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Must have knowledge of case
management principles, substance abuse treatment, and vocational planning
techniques.
- Must be goal directed, organized and able to
work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to relate in
a supportive manner to recovering women from diverse backgrounds required.
- Spanish speaking desirable, but
not required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Bachelor degree in
social work, psychology or closely related human services field, Plus
demonstrated experience or training in vocational planning services.
OR
- Associate degree in a
relevant field, Plus two years of full-time paid experience in a related
mental health, substance abuse or social service agency.
AND
- A valid NYS drivers'
license.
- Automobile in good
working order.
- Must have Accredited
NYS Defensive driving course; or obtain within 15 days of hire.
- Must maintain Active NYS
Defensive Driving class every 3 years, upon expiration.
- If driving one's own
vehicle, must maintain valid inspection and automobile insurance.
- Must provide proof of
insurance upon hire and when requested.
