Starting rate: $18 per hour
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Health Home Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a staff member whose primary responsibilities are to support and assist the Health Home team members. The Health Home CSR is expected to perform the secretarial, clerical, data entry and processing duties of their respective program. The Health Home CSR is also expected to provide exceptional customer service and care for all BestSelf Behavioral Health consumers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Greet all visitors that come to the office
· Filing, photocopying, answering telephones and general document creation, type letters, memos, and reports per staff request
· Track purchase order requests
· Prepare letters to request medical records and client authorizations and maintain a log of requests and record received per HIPAA compliance regulations.
· Operate and coordinate the computer and management Information systems for the program
· Notify appropriate staff of visitors arriving at the office
· Managing incoming faxes
· Communicate necessary information to the appropriate staff
· Filing and scanning in charts in accordance with agency and program policy
· Receive and distribute interoffice mail, postal mail, and deliveries
· Ensure waiting area cleanliness and sanitation
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma (or equivalency) and at least one year experience in a customer service setting
· Strong communications skills
· Organized and ability to multi-task
· Strong data entry skills
· Knowledge of and the ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
· Knowledge of and the ability to use office equipment (copiers, scanners, fax machines)
· Experience using Electronic Medical Records software, with an openness to learn new programs
· The ability to exercise patience, discretion, good judgement, and tact
· An understanding of basic insurance terminology (copay, deductible, co-insurance, etc.)
